Memoirz - Email address

I remember the first time I browsed the internet for creating an email Id. It was in the year 1999 and it took more than half and hour to create an email Id as the browser was too slow.....
I still remember the day my friend Manesh helped me in creating one for myself. Little did I knew that it would become my identity later on...... Pic of my college to the left.

It was in my college's browsing center I went for creating my email Id. We had to wait for our turn due to the huge rush of students waiting to check their mails. I still remember my first email id ..it was mail2lechu@england.com :-) I guess that site does not allow private emails anymore.

I was so happy with my email Id that I went home and boasted to my parents that they can now send me mails through internet. Little did i knew that they should also have an email ID and also that WE SHOULD have INTERNET Connection at home :-))))

New office new faces

I joined to my new office on Jan 2010. My first day reminded me of the same fears and anticipation I had when I first joined School. This time I did not have my mom and Dad with me when I stepped into this new world.

This trepidation you feel when you step into an unknown or unfamiliar surroundings is the same everytime when you are in a situation like this. My first few days went smoothly. I was trying my best to fit in. Slowly I started relaxing and it helped in getting to know new people.

Within short time I made a bunch of friends.. It is the same everytime.. Making friends are really easy but retaining them is tough. I'm really bad at that. I do not like to take friendship to home since I have my best friend at home.. i.e my husband. So my office friends stay only at office. I do not want to lose my best friend anytime...

They say marriage changes every thing.. Yeah it did change me ...I guess it is for good...Im more mellow than before.. :)

My painting experiment!!!!

Well..My bathroom did look ugly and I was kinda upset about it. While browsing through odds at home I found a tin of White paint and it triggered the painter in me.

Within hours I painted my bathroom walls white. Supporting me was my dear husband who went out to buy me another litre of paint and a wide brush.Well... I was pleased with my effort even though it looked like a dozen crows shit in the bathroon floor just because I forgot to cover the floor while painting the walls ;)

Overall I consider that it was an enlighting experience as I found that there is a painter inside me who was sleeping for past 27 yrs ;)....

A trip to Melukotte

A group of 8 people in 4 bikes set out to enjoy the beauty of Melukotte on 27th Dec 2009. Trip started off quite well and the weather god was with us with a cloudy sky. The picturesque beauty of Mandya district was really amazing. With its lush sugar cane plantations the view was simply too sweet for our eyes. The aroma of boiling sugar pulled us to a stop many a times. We had our picnic lunch on a big rock near to the temple with a view of the valley. A Light drizzle started playing around by the time we finished our food. But it added to the beauty of the hill and valley.

Melukote Temple.
Melukote is in Pandavapura taluk of Mandya district, Karnataka, is one of the sacred places in Karnataka. The place is also known as Thirunarayanapuram. It is built on rocky hills known as Yadavagiri or Yadugiri overlooking the Cauvery valley. It is about 51 km from Mysore and 133 km from Bangalore.

The climb to the temple was not so tiring as there were stone made steps. It took us less than half an hour to climb the hill to the temple. The view from top of the hill is quite breath taking making you wonder "How did God get time to make this earth so beautiful !!!"

The picture shows the view from inside the temple. The temple opens to a view of the beautiful landscape which is amazing.

We started our journey back to Bangalore by 5.00PM the same day only to see the long traffic of all vacationers going back after christmas vacation. Added to misery was the bone chilling rain which did not have the intention of stopping to allow us poor bikers (without rain gear) to reach home by a respectable hour.

Even with this small setback did not so much affect anyone of us as my husband rightly said "Every trip is an experience worth remembering ".
